Biogas, which is produced by the decomposition of organic substances in an oxygen-free environment with enzymes secreted by microorganisms, is a renewable energy source.

Biogas is an environmentally friendly energy source and can be produced in various capacities, ranging from family and farm-type production to industrial scale. This biofuel is increasingly used in the world for purposes such as heating, motor fuel, and as a turbine fuel for producing electricity and heat.

One of the main components that affect many properties of the soil directly and indirectly is the organic matter. Soil organic matter, which consists of plant and animal tissue residues in and on the soil and their organic decomposition products, is the most important element required for soil fertility and protection.

Seeing the development of agriculture, which is the starting point of the food chain, as a multi-faceted process, and adopting an active role in this process as a company policy since its establishment, Toros Tarım deems supporting its product portfolio in the field of fertilisers, one of the most important elements of sustainable agriculture, with new products and introducing technological innovations to Turkish agriculture as two of its main responsibilities. As the largest establishment in the agro-industrial sector, Toros Tarım also owns Turkey’s first R&D centre in the field of plant nutrition.
