Seeing the development of agriculture, which is the starting point of the food chain, as a multi-faceted process, and adopting an active role in this process as a company policy since its establishment, Toros Tarım deems supporting its product portfolio in the field of fertilisers, one of the most important elements of sustainable agriculture, with new products and introducing technological innovations to Turkish agriculture as two of its main responsibilities. As the largest establishment in the agro-industrial sector, Toros Tarım also owns Turkey’s first R&D centre in the field of plant nutrition.

In the R&D Centre, where scientific studies are carried out to meet the demands and needs of the sector, priority is given to the development of new products that will contribute to the efficiency of plant nutrition with new technologies. For this purpose, product development, improvement of existing products, and process development studies are carried out at the centre. With the formulation and development activities carried out at the R&D Centre, it is aimed to develop Toros Tarım’s existing product portfolio with new products with different characteristics that will contribute to the productivity of the farmer.

Organic and organomineral fertilisers, which the agricultural lands in Turkey desperately need, are also one of the key points of the studies carried out at the R&D Centre. Issues such as improving production processes, optimisation, saving energy in production, and reducing environmental impacts are also among the objectives of the R&D Centre.
