PRODUCTION
Biogas Plant
Gönen Yenilenebilir Enerji Üretim A.Ş.’s biogas facility has three reactors and three gas engines, in addition to an installed electricity generation capacity of 3.62 MW. 400 tons of wet waste is disposed per day in the facility, which operates on the principle of mesophilic fermentation and has a bacteriological desulfurization unit.
The raw material inputs of the facility are poultry farm waste, cattle waste, agricultural waste, food industry waste, slaughterhouse waste, and other organic industrial waste.
Solid Organomineral Fertiliser Plant
The fermented product that completes the gasification process in biogas production is separated into solid and liquid phases. The solid phase, subjected to composting, is mixed with the necessary chemical raw materials based on the organomineral fertiliser formulation after losing its moisture. Since the ideal moisture ratios are different for different organomineral formulations, a fine adjustment is made at this stage. After the mixture is granulated, final drying and hygienisation processes are carried out.
At Toros Gönen Solid Organomineral Fertiliser Plant, the heat required for these processes is obtained from the waste heat of the biogas plant; fossil fuel is not used. The entire production process is monitored instantaneously thanks to the advanced automation system, while the product quality is preserved owing to the advanced laboratory facilities within the facility.
The production capacity of Toros Gönen Solid Organomineral Fertiliser Plant is 30,000 tonnes/year, and the solid phase outputs of the Integrated Biogas Facility and the outsourced compost raw material are used as inputs.
Liquid Organomineral Fertiliser Plant
At Toros Gönen Liquid Organomineral Fertiliser Plant, plant nutrients (NPK) and concentrated liquid organomineral fertiliser rich in fulvic acid are produced using the liquid phase coming out of the Biogas Facility.
After the fermented product that contains approximately 6% dry matter, which is the output of the Biogas Plant, is separated into the liquid phase, it is hygienised under temperature and pressure and subjected to filtration, and is made more stable and odourless in oxidation pools using active oxygen. The product, which has a very low amount of dry matter, is concentrated via MVRs, and then packaged and made ready for sale. The product quality is kept at the highest level thanks to this process, which is completely monitored by an advanced automation system, and advanced laboratory controls.
The production capacity of Toros Gönen Liquid Organomineral Fertiliser Plant is 11,000 tons/year.
